I will share some of my devotion I read today. This one was written just for me. Are you continually running out of money before you run out of month? What do you do when this happens? Take away from your savings or charge your purchases? If you charge, are you able to pay off in full the next month whatever you charged? If you keep running out of money, you're not living within your means, and you're not trusting God to meet your needs. The Bible tells us, "My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Learn discipline and practice denial. Portion out your money every month. Don't spend beyond your income; then you can hold God to His promise. And just watch how He takes care of you - better than you could possibly take care of yourself! Thank you, Lord, for Your promise to supply all my needs. Forgive me for my lack of faith, for my tendency to get ahead of You and purchase things You've not provided for. Help me distinguish my needs from my wants and trust You to supply both as You see fit.

- Honeydew ice cream and Orange Pineapple ice cream from Sabine Valley
- listening to Bill Bradford during storms and having a "family storm party"
- walking to Dairy Queen for lunch in grade school and junior high
- calling KSST for song requests
- Granny Lou always had ritz crackers at her house and she dipped snuff (stinky...ha)
- My Papa Hank would call me Angelina
- Mammy always made poached eggs for Papa
- Mammy's plum tree - eating yellow plums with lots of salt!!!
- pink and white striped coconut candy
- Joe Shelton singing Chain Link
- Going to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash's house - met Johnny Cash
- No seatbelts!
- sitting on parents' 8 track container in the back seat and singing - on vacation
- Sonic would put plastic colored animals on the sides of the drink cup lids - I still have a few of them
- Medicine at Granny's house that would pull the wasp stingers out of your skin
- I loved the nights when I could sleep with my mom and dad
- Aunt Anita making me barbie doll clothes and listening to Skeeter Davis music
- Working at Granny and Aunt Barbara's firework stands
- Going to Poncho's to eat
- having homemade banana ice cream with Granny Brown and Ernest
- dressing up and acting on a homemade stage at Granny Brown's
- going to work with mom and dad on Saturday's at the H.D. Lee plant
- playing crazy 8's with my dad
- Fighting with Dad to see who was going to get to lick the bowl after mom made coconut pie or banana pudding
- Mom's spritz cookies made in cookie press
- Uncle Johnny taking me, Sherri and Scott on country road rides to pick wild plums and see old barns
- Filling out the order forms in Mammy's cross stitch catalogs
- Mammy's snickerdoodle cookies and chicken and dumplings
- Watching Saturday morning cartoons
- Mom babysitting Wendi on Saturday mornings
- Playing frisbee with my dog, Snoopy
